About
Atlantic AutoCold is the first fully automatic cold storage facility in Atlantic Canada. A conveyor system and four robotic cranes place and retrieve goods in racks up to 145 feet in height.
Our CO2 refrigeration system has built-in redundancies to protect our customers' goods, and the environment. CO2 is a natural and safe refrigerant; its effect on climate is 1,500 to 4,000 times less than synthetic refrigerants.
AutoCold is located in Sackville, New Brunswick, between Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and Quebec. Our facility is 215 Km from the Port of Halifax and 204 Km from the Port of St. John.

Food Safety
Atlantic AutoCold ensures Food Safety and Product Quality by implementing a Quality Program that meets the requirements of the Preventative Control Program of CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency). A HACCP (Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points) plan lists all of the process steps and the identified risks and controls for each step.
The controls are specific SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) developed by the Quality Manager and the Management team. The system is designed to comply with CFIA and BRC (Brand Reputation through Compliance) for Storage and Distribution.
Atlantic AutoCold is registered with the FDA, we are CFIA approved, and BRCGS certified.
